है प्रेम जहां है स्वर्ग वहाँ,
मतलब का साथी क्या जाने,
आँखों से बहते दरिया को,
बेदर्द भला क्या पहचाने।

है स्वार्थ भरा जिसके मन में,
छल उसका है हथियार बड़ा,
मतलब से ही रिश्ते उसके,
होते मतलब से साथ खड़ा,
हँसना,गाना, रूठना,झुकना,
सब नखरे होते मतलब से,
आंखों से बहते हर आंसू ,
संग दर्द भी होते मतलब से,
जब प्रेम नहीं दिल मे जिसके,
वो प्रेम की कीमत क्या जाने,
सीसे और दिल में भेद भला,
छल करने वाला क्या जाने।

है काँच अगर कोई टूटा,
मिल जाते हैं खरीदार मगर,
दिल टूट गया मुश्किल जीवन,
बिन मंजिल के सुनसान डगर,
चलना बचकर अब राहों में,
हर कदम यहाँ पर धोखा है,
मुश्किल से मिलता प्यार यहाँ,
मखमल ही काँट चुभोता है,
मुश्कान तले बिष है जिसका,
अमृत का मतलब क्या जाने,
आँखों से बहते दरिया को,
बेदर्द भला क्या पहचाने।
